Leolandia

Leolandia - parco divertimenti

HISTORY

The amusement park Leolandia is mainly dedicated to families with children. The park began its existence in 1971 as Minitalia, whose main attraction was the reproduction of the most famous Italian monuments.

The idea of creating a Mini Italy came from dreamer Guido Pendezzini, a textile entrepreneur of Capriate San Gervasio. Since then, the Lombard playground has evolved by adding new themes, educational paths, attractions, shows and events, enhancing the offer for families.

CURIOSITIES

Italy in miniature has 160 scale reproductions of the most beautiful monuments in the country. In addition, there are 12 talking statues, depicting some of the important persons in Italian history. To appreciate the magnificent Italia even more, one part of the park is dedicated to the inventions of Leonardo da Vinci, called Terre di Leonardo with some of the inventions of the genius.

Up to 2007 Leolandia had turtle “Garvasio” as mascott. After Garvasio came the friendly character “Leomonster” until the arrival of “Leo” in 2015, no longer a monster but a cute lion loved and adored by the little ones.
